On Dec. 8th, 2018, Handong employees joined the Bapfor community service, which is organized by Dail Community, to provide free meals to low income families in the District 7 area.
Dail Community is an organization founded in Korea in 1988 to serve the homeless and the hungry by providing a warm meal. Dail Community’s Vietnam branch was established in 2002 and has been providing free meals, home care, and medical care to Vietnamese who are in desperate need. Bapfor is the name for their free meal service, meaning “Rice for” someone. Bapfor Center, which is located in the Tan Hung area of District 7, serves lunch every day from Tuesday to Saturday.
On Saturday, Dec. 8th, at Bapfor Center, Handong employees distributed food, washed the dishes and cleaned the area after the meal. It was just a small action of serving the community, but it brought the greatest joy of sharing what we have. We hope our serving hands were helpful to Babfor Center, and we will continue to strive to be a positive presence in this community.
